Title: Offshore Fishing Report May 25

Trolling for kings is as good as it gets. We are seeing quality catches of fish from 10 to 40lbs and in very good numbers fishing just a few miles from the pass. Also trolling or live baiting for Black fin tuna is very good on the south and southwest edge about 22 to 25 miles from home.

Bottom fishing is producing some nice Trigger fish, Amberjack, Vermillion snapper and Red groupers. I know everyone gets overly excited about red snapper because of their size but in my opinion the Vermillion (Mingo) snapper are better to eat and you can fish them year round.

Offshore trolling is hot for tuna, Wahoo and marlin and they are getting a few nice Dolphin. Mostly they are fishing from the nipple and out to the spur, at night around the spur are some nice swordfish.
