New to fishing the Bay. Help Please!

Me and a friend of mine have decided to take our fishing to saltwater. We have a 14 Foot John Boat and have it rigged for flounder gigging. We want to start fishing for Reds and any othe fishes in the bay. We were needing some help with locations, baits, and other tips. Remember we are in a John boat! Thanks ahead of time guys!!
