Inshore/Bay

As long as the weather stays warm, the speckled trout are still showing up around the grass flats in 5- to 7-feet of water. Live shrimp, finger mullet or pinfish work well for bait as well as a jig and grub. When the temperature drops look for the trout to move into the deep holes. Redfish are also on the grass flats and will hit the same bait as the trout. Fishing for sheepshead has been good lately. Try fishing around pilings and rock structures. Best baits are fiddler crabs and small live shrimp.
