Offshore/Bottom
Amberjack are showing up on the deep-water wrecks about 15 to 20 miles out. Live bait tends to work well. Mingo, triggerfish, white snapper, scamp and red grouper are biting well in 100 to 150 feet of water as well as an occasional blackfin tuna. For king mackerel, try fly lining live bait over those bottom spots. Offshore fishing is still a bit slow with a few wahoo and dolphin near the edge. They like to hang out around weed lines, so be ready. Capt. Chip Godwin on the JustinTime hooked up with a couple of blue marlin in the last couple of weeks fishing near the Ozark. They hooked on a bottom rig and the other trolling an artificial.
