New to forum... I fish a lot on the Texas gulf coast and will be down in Destin for the week of Thanksgiving. Are reds still running close to shore and does anyone have recommendations for pier fishing with kids this time of year? Thanks for any help!

Hello, My name is Derek. I am new to the site, and glad to be a part of the local fishing community, and this site. I run a charter fishing booking service. I've got a booth on the harbor and a website. I'm hoping to utilize this site to provide my customers with up to date information on deep sea fishing and bay fishing charters. Hi Fellow Fish Nuts;
I live in Erie,PA and fish the "big pond", its bays, and tribs year round. Since i retired i have been hanging out in Destin for the winter months.
I bring a few rods along and have checked out a few spots but I have a lot to learn. That said, i am stoked to be in "the worlds luckiest fishing village" again.
This looks like a good place to ask some questions. Good luck to ya.

Greetings to all, I am a recreational salt and fresh water fisherman living on Cape Cod, Mass. I fish here year round; for everything from stripers, blues and bluefin tuna to smallmouth and largemouth bass and trout. I'll be vacationing in Destin for the week of April 12th thru the 19th and I'll be looking to do some fishing while there. Any and all info on what's running for salt water species at that time would be greatly appreciated! I like to boat fish but also would like to shore fish along the beach or in the back bays. Thanks, Steve

I'm from Louisiana and Fish for Trout and Redfish, Still learning how to fish for them here in the back bay finding out tightlining soft baits is the way to go specially when the water is clear on clear mono.There are some smart trout and redfish here.Also love to fish offshore but don't get around to doing it much spending most of my time in Grayton beach.
